Create, Add, Manage LobbyConnect Devices

      To manage your LobbyConnect devices, make sure you address the following:

      • Permissions. Make sure your Teem user has admin-level permissions so you can access the admin tools.
      • Location Hierarchy. Your company's account should have its location structure built out to match your organization’s physical space.
      • Download LobbyConnect on a supported device. Launch the app and take note of the activation code.

      How to Add Devices

      1. Log in to Teem and click Locations, which will take you to the Spaces tab.

      2. Click on Devices and on the far right side you will see an option to activate a device. Click on Activate Device with the plus sign.

      3. A pop-up menu will appear on the right-hand side of your screen. Enter the 6 digit activation code and name your device. Add a description. 

      4. Assign Device Location. If you already have your company's spaces set up, you can search all locations using the search bar or click to expand the location hierarchy until you find the correct lobby. Click to select the lobby location. 

      Note: If you’ve set up  lobbies (for LobbyConnect) and room spaces (for EventBoard) in your account, both space types will show in the dropdown list. Make sure you select a reception/lobby space when activating a LobbyConnect device. 

      5. Once the location is selected click Save at the bottom of the screen and your device has been added!

      How to Move Your Device

      If accidentally create a device and attach it to the wrong space or need to move a device to a new location, just follow these steps.

      1. Log into Teem and click Manage >> Locations in the top left corner, which will take you to the Spaces tab.

      2. Navigate to the Devices tab.

      3. A list of your devices will now be displayed. You can search by name, or filter to see only LobbyConnect devices (i.e. to exclude Teem conference room display devices).

      4. When you find the device you want to move, click on Details next to the device.

      5. You will see a menu to edit device details. Scroll down until you see the section for Device Location.

      6. Below the Device Location section, it will highlight what room your device is currently attached to.Edit Device Location for LobbyConnect

      7. Choose the campus, building, floor and room to which you’d like to attach the device.

      8. Once the room name has been selected, click Save Changes at the bottom of your screen and your device will be moved to its new location.

      Delete a Device

      1. Log into Teem and click Manage >> Locations in the top left corner, which will take you to the Spaces tab.

      2. Navigate to the Devices tab to see a list of all company devices. 

      3. Search for the device you want to delete, click the check box to the left of the device name.

      2. A highlighted box will appear at the top of your device list. The amount of devices selected will be displayed as well as a red button to Delete Selected.

      3.  Clicking the Delete Selected button will delete the device permanently. Before you click the button, double-check that you have the right device selected. 

      Adding Devices with Quick Add

      1. Log into Teem and click Manage >> LocationsYou'll see the Location directory to the left of the screen. 

      2. Users with Admin privileges will see a small ( + ) symbol on the right as they hover over each section of the Location Directory. This is called the Quick Add button. Click the Quick Add button on an existing space (Room or Lobby) to add a device to your Lobby.

      3. When adding a device, you will be asked to enter your App Activation Code that you receive when downloading LobbyConnect 2.0 onto your device.

      4. Once you've entered your App Activation Code, the device has been added. The device display name will default to Synch Requested.  You may want to go to the Device tab and choose your own name later.

      You can also drag and drop a room onto a different floor, or a floor onto a different building. It's handy to clean up one-off mistakes or move an entire deployment into a new building.

      Licensingthe Device  

      LobbyConnect licenses are assigned to the device, rather than to the room like you see with EventBoard.

      As long as there is a LobbyConnect licenses available, the device will be automatically licensed when it is created. 

      If you have removed a license and need to reapply it, follow these steps: 

      1. Login to and navigate to Manage >> Locations. 

      2. Navigate to the Device tab. Search for the device you want to license. 

      3. Click the Details button for that device. 

      4. From the pop-out menu, toggle the license switch to enable the license for the device. If there is an availble license, you'll see the license number show up on the panel. 

      5. Close the window and you will see the device is now showing as licensed. You may have to refresh your browser.

      Reviewing your Account's Available Licenses  

      If you every have questions about how many licenses you have available for your account, visit your Account Overview page for info. 

      1. Login to, click Manage >> click Overview.

      2. On the right side of the page, you will see a window called Plan Summary. This includes your account's total and active licenses. If you don’t have an available license, please contact your Account Executive at Teem.
