Using the Teem App

    Nothing says easy like Teem. You can quickly get acquainted with app in no time.

      The Teem App is a collection of four main features that will allow you to manage your meetings, find your way around a building/campus/floor, and manage your calendar.

      • Search
      • Calendar
      • Profile


      Maps 

      The map* will allow you to view different floors, pan & zoom over floor views, see room availability, and reserve meeting rooms or desks*.

      *Maps are only available if the maps feature is enabled in your company account. The maps will be hidden if maps are not enabled.

      *Desks are only available if desk reservation is configured in your company account.



      Room availability is color-coded:

      • Green - Available
      • Grey/White Stripes - Not available for one of the following reasons
        • Reserved
        • Does not meet search criteria
        • Not reservable per Admin rules
      • Blank - non-interactable room that is not managed by Teem

       Desk availability is also color-coded:

      • Green Circle - Available
      • Grey Circle - Not available for one of the following reasons
        • Reserved
        • Does not meet search criteria
        • Not reservable or assigned per Admin rules
      • Blank - non-interactable desk that is not managed by Teem

      If there are multiple floors, tap the floor button located at the bottom right-hand corner.

      To book a room, simply select an available room (green shade) then select one of the options available:

      • Contextual: Book until the next top of the hour 
      • Contextual: Book until the next half hour 
      • Define exact booking time
      You can also tap the details card itself to open the booking details page to view more information about the space.


      Use the timeline to change your meeting time for the current date. Time frames with a shadow shows mean that the room is unavailable. Do the following If you'd like to change the meeting information:

      1. Select Date then select the date you want to set up the meeting for
      2. Select Start and select a meeting start time
      3. Select End and select a meeting end time 


      About this space displays the amenities available to you if you book the room. When you're ready to confirm your booking, select Book Room. The meeting will be automatically added to your calendar.

      If you are in close proximity to the room before the meeting, the app will automatically check you in if your app location setting is allowed for Teem.



      Search

      Search will display available rooms or desks from your office location. You can also use the filter feature for more results specific to your needs. To search tap the filter button located in the upper left-hand corner.

      Use the filter feature from either the list or map view to narrow down your search based on the requirements of your meeting.

      You can filter by:

      • Space - Select to filter by Rooms or Desks
      • Availability- Pick a meeting length to expose rooms that can accommodate the length of your meeting
        • Use the toggle to rooms that are currently occupied.
      • Location- Pick a location for the results:
        • Nearby - Rooms or desks that are close to you
        • My Office - Rooms or desks that are in your default location (building/location/floor)
        • Custom - Select any other location other than your default
      • Capacity - Indicate how many people you have that a room can accommodate
      • Amenities - Pick the types of amenities you need to have (e.g. TB, whiteboard, phone, etc.)


      Select Done to save your filter preferences. This will take you back to the search page. If there are rooms or desks that meet your filter criteria, then those will appear on the search page. To book a room, select an available room. Use the timeline to change your meeting time for the current date. Time frames with a shadow shows mean that the room is unavailable. Do the following If you'd like to change the meeting information:

      1. Select Date then select the date you want to set up the meeting for
      2. Select Start and select a meeting start time
      3. Select End and select a meeting end time 

      A list view of rooms can also be used to book a room. To accomplish this tap the list view button . A list
      of the rooms will then be shown.

      To return to the floor plan view, tap the pin button located in the upper right-hand corner. On
      the list view, there are also other selections as well. The All tab shows a list of reservable rooms.
      The Frequent tab shows the most frequently reserved rooms and the Nearby tab shows spaces
      with beacons nearby.

      Calendar

      The calendar displays the meeting or events you have scheduled for the day. Just select the meeting to see additional information. From here, you also can:

      • Check-In - Confirm your meeting by checking in. If you are in close proximity to the room before the meeting, the app will automatically check you in if your app location setting is allowed for Teem.

      When you check into your reservation, you confirm your event and let Teem and others know you’re using the space as intended. There are a number of ways for you to be checked into a meeting:

      • Beacon-powered Check-in - If your organization uses Teem Room Displays on iPads, you will be checked into your meetings automatically.
      • Notification Check-in - Teem sends notifications to your phone, reminding you to check into your reservation. Long press on the notification to open a detailed view, then tap Check-in to confirm your reservation
      • In-App Check-in - Check into a meeting by simply tapping Check-in on your meeting card. 
      • Late - Select the option if you are going to be late for the meeting. This will prevent your room from being released. Be sure to check in when you arrive.


      Profile

      The Profile screen contains some configurations as it relates to the set up of your account.

      By default, the Teem App will automatically filter for nearby spaces based on your home location. If you’d prefer to choose your default location, you can do that with “My Office.”

      Go to your Profile > My Office > Select Campus, Building, and Floor.

      By default, event notifications are enabled. You can manage this setting by going to Profile > My Office > Notifications. Here, you can configure the following notifications:

      • Upcoming Events - Get notified about your upcoming event, and other general notifications about your calendar related to Teem.
      • Participant Status - Get notified about participant status
